A Castle Cliff Estate Wedding | Sedalia, Colorado Wedding Planners

I just loved Alex and Phil from the first time I met them, and my love for being around them just grew when I met their family and friends. They are just so FUN! And so caring! Such a pleasure to be around (as you will see in the photos). Therefore, I was clear that their wedding day at Castle Cliff Estate would be a memorable one for them and all of their guests…

Along with their amazing group of family and friends, we at Storytellers worked with some of our favorite wedding vendors! Always wonderful for wedding planners to work with vendors we trust!

Getting ready at Castle Cliff Estate on their wedding day, the couple was so chill- the ladies enjoyed their time upstairs getting their hair and make-up done by Destination Stylists, while the guys played pool downstairs in the guys room. They would peek from time to time at the progress of set-up, where we had decided to hold the ceremony on the front lawn facing out towards the mountains (a first for the venue, I later learned). With Tracy the Florist, the couple decided on simple floral arrangements, as to not detract from the beauty of the surroundings. We loved the end result.

Because it is Colorado- we were working that day with lighting storms and rain…after checking all the weather radars, we decided to delay the ceremony 30 minutes while providing guests with cocktails. HA- the smiles that decision brought and the guests had no problem drinking early. Because the groomsmen decided to do a rain dance to stop the rain, which worked of course, the heavens cleared with enough time to have the ceremony outside. Perfect! Thanks guys.

And then the party began! Three Tomatoes Catering provided the food, where they create food stations around the estate so that their guests could walk around, mingle, and enjoy the entire venue- this included a macaroni bar, a slider bar, passed appetizers…decadent and with amazing service! The DJ began the music, and we couldn’t ask for a better one with Jeff from Encore Events and Entertainment! They totally know how to keep everyone on the dance floor until the very end! The toasts were hilarious and heartfelt- and they even drank from the Nuernberg Bridal Cup (a surprise), where they drank without spilling a drop. A very good omen indeed.

Other super cool details of the day- the groomsmen had super cool socks, the guestbook consisted of a coffee table book with Colorado scenery and mountains (since the couple likes to hike), Saddle Shoe Signs provided awesome marquis signs for the couple, they served mini bundts as dessert for their guests (which got devoured because they’re just so scrumptious), and the food stations throughout the house were a huge success!

All of this to say that we had a wonderful time, and we were nonstop all night! Families like that of Alex and Phil are truly why we love being wedding planners in the beautiful state of Colorado, and why we love what we do! Thank you so much for sharing your lives with us.
